Snickers Mighty-Morning Milkshake (v)

A great way to start the morning! Protein packed, omega 3 filled and fortified with vitamin D and B12. All the flavours of a Snickers without any of the guilt.

  • 2 cups soy milk (or milk of your choice)
  • 4 dates
  • 2 tbsp. oats
  • 2 tbsp. ground flax seeds
  • 2 tbsp. hemp hearts
  • 2 tbsp. peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp. cocoa powder (or sub with chocolate protein powder or quality drinking chocolate)
  • 1 tsp vanilla paste or maple syrup (optional)
  1. Add everything to a high powered blender and blitz!
  2. Serve chilled.
  3. Vanilla paste/maple syrup only needed if you prefer it sweeter.
* Freeze any leftovers in ice-lolly moulds or keep in the fridge for the next day. It may thicken so just add a little extra milk if necessary.

* Soy milk is high in protein and usually contains added calcium, vitamin B2, B12 and D which are all vital for health.

* Hemp Hearts are a complete plant protein source.

* Flax seeds are a rich source of plant-based omega-3 fatty acids.

* Peanut butter contains antioxidant vitamin E, bone-building magnesium, muscle-friendly potassium and immunity-boosting vitamin B6.

* Try hi-oleic peanut butter for even more healthy fats.
