This weekend we spent some time with our lovely friends Liz and Tom in London. They know their food, and took us to a few of their favourite London eateries.
After a few fun cocktails at Cirque…
…we headed over to Cook Daily at the Box Park in Shoreditch where we had some amazing Asian vegan food. The menu included veggie spring rolls, puffed tofu pad thai and coconut curry. Cook Daily’s signature dishes include the ‘High Grade’, with sweet ‘n’ sour BBQ sauce and hemp seeds, or a Caribbean inspired ‘Hard Bowl’, made with yam, plantain, ackee and wholemeal dumplings.
Try one of Cook Daily’s recipes here.
The next day we had an amazing veggie breakfast at The Breakfast Club, Angel
We tried the banana and yoghurt waffles, dirty fries and vegetarian all-American breakfast. I don’t know what they make their veggie sausages out of, but they were delish.
We were still kinda full at lunch so decided to make a quick stop at Byron for a small snack. 2 portions of courgette fries and 4 freakshakes later, we were back on the road! :/
For tea we visited Mildreds vegetarian and vegan restaurant and enjoyed tortilla chips and guacamole followed by a halloumi and aubergine burger with harissa and hummus, plus sweet potato fries with chipotle ketchup and basil mayo. It was SO good 🙂 Liz and Tom’s fruit crumble pudding looked delicious as well.
